Job Description
The School of Materials Science and Engineering (MSE) invites applications for the position of Research Fellow.
A candidate with a strong expertise in commercialization of materials based manufacturing technologies. The RF will be involved in bridging the gap to commercialization of a patented magnetocuring technology. Candidate should be familiar with the synthesis, characterization and property evaluation of magnetic materials and polymers. Strong communication skills, an energetic and can-do attitude and ability to effectively interface with vendors and potential customers is vital.
Key Responsibilities:
- Bridging the gap to commercialization of magnetocuring technology
- Scaleup of materials production, stability of material and equipment design and procurement
- Interaction with relevant industry and academic partners to maximize impact of project
- PhD in Materials Science and Engineering or Mechanical Engineering or allied field.
- Knowledge of synthesis, characterization and property evaluation of high-performance materials
- Knowledge of manufacturing technologies
- Experience in equipment design and production is desirable
- Strong communication skills, energetic and self-motivated
- Previous commercialization experience is desirable
