Job Description


The School of Computer Science and Engineering (SCSE) invites applications for the position of Research Fellow. The Research Fellow will conduct research on improving AI algorithms and pilot system for depression detection using speech and text information.Key Responsibilities:To lead the team effort in developing multimodal algorithms that can detect early signs of depression from speech and text information.To design, develop, and acquire voice and text corpus for early depression detection with at least 100 individual subjects.To lead project team in developing baseline systems and improve the system\xe2\x80\x99s accuracy from time to time.To supervise or mentor students and junior project members in supporting team to reach the project\xe2\x80\x99s goal.Job Requirements:PhD in Computer Science/Engineering or related disciplines from a top-tier university.Strong analytical and programming skills and proficient in programming languages (e.g. Python, C/C++, MATLAB, etc)Experience in building and evaluating advanced machine learning algorithmsRelevant knowledge and a strong background machine learning and deep learning. Experience in text processing and speech technologies, especially in depression detection and the healthcare domain is a merit.Strong publication track record.Good communication and English writing skills.Excellent teamwork and experience with supervising junior members or students.We regret that only shortlisted candidates will be notified.Hiring Institution: NTU
