Research Fellow (metallurgy)
Job Description
A Research Fellow position is available in the Rolls-Royce@NTU Corporate Laboratory, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore.
Responsibilities:
Metal plating and joining
PVD thin film deposition
Thick metal plating via electroplating, etc.
Materials joining via transient liquid phase (TLP) joining
Die shear test and reliability assessment (vibration and thermal cycling)
Materials characterization such as XRD, SEM, EDS, DSC, DGA, TAM, etc.
Requirements:
PhD in materials technology
Sound knowledge on materials science and processing
Strong interest in industrial R&D
Knowledgeable on PVD deposition and metal plating
Minimum qualification of PhD in Materials Science and Engineering or other relevant disciplines
Proven track record in materials research and development, with a minimum 3 years of research experience
