The National University of Singapore invites applications for Research Fellow in 'The Role of Single Cell Eukaryotes in Microbiome Health and Disease' in the Department of Microbiology and Immunology, Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine. The Department of Microbiology and Immunology is a leading department for microbiology, infectious diseases and immunology education and research, focusing on translational outcomes ( ). Appointments will be made on a yearly contract basis in the first instance, with the possibility of extension, depending on performance and outcomes.
Purpose of the post
The Research Fellow will be responsible for leading several exciting research projects on the cellular, immunological and pathological impact of protistan parasites on the gut microbiome. The RF will work closely with the Principal Investigator and collaborators at the NUHS Microbiome Core and the Immunology Translational Research Programme to ensure the successful execution of the project and achievement of milestones. The RF will also be involved in general lab management, grants management and supervision of junior researchers within the research team.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
The Research Fellow will be performing interdisciplinary research with collaborators with strong immunity, immunopathology, microbiome and metabolomic expertise, and will be accountable to the Principal Investigator (PI).
