The National University of Singapore invites applications for Research Assistant in \'The Role of Single Cell Eukaryotes in Microbiome Health and Disease\' in the Department of Microbiology and Immunology, Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine. The Department of Microbiology and Immunology is a leading department for microbiology, infectious diseases and immunology education and research, focusing on translational outcomes ( ). Appointments will be made on a yearly contract basis in the first instance, with the possibility of extension, depending on performance and outcomes.
Purpose of the post
The Research Assistant will be responsible for supporting several exciting research projects on the cellular, immunological and pathological impact of protistan parasites on the gut microbiome as part of a larger European Cooperation in Science and Technology (EU-COST) initiative involving several investigators from an existing EU network of parasitologists. The RA will work closely with the Principal Investigator and EU-COST collaborators to ensure the successful execution of the project and achievement of milestones. The RA will also be involved in organizing workshops and in general lab management, including grants management and procurement.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
The Research Assistant will be supporting interdisciplinary research with collaborators with strong microbiome, metabolomic and cell biology expertise, and will be accountable to the Principal Investigator (PI). The RA will be able to: * Support several EU-COST-related projects;
