Job Description
The School of Chemistry, Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology (CCEB) is a new interdisciplinary school at NTU, inaugurated in August 2022. Our school hosts world-class education and research programs in organic and inorganic chemistry, physical chemistry, chemical engineering, and bioengineering. We aim to nurture future-ready researchers with the ability to tackle new challenges in chemicals manufacturing, healthcare, energy, food, and other important sectors.This position is responsible for aiding the development of new synthetic methods in the labs of Asst Prof Phillip Grant, which aim to improve the efficiency of organic synthesis.Key Responsibilities:Synthetic research in organic synthesis of small molecule drug-like compoundsCharacterisation of organic compoundsDevelopment of new methods to synthesise drug-like compoundsMaintenance of key instrumentsContribution to lab duties; e.g., purchase of chemicalsDrafting reports and papersJob Requirements:A PhD in organic chemistry.Prior experience in synthetic methods development and/or target oriented synthesis.Experience in scientific writing in EnglishExperience in reaction optimisation.For more information about the Grant lab, please visit (https://www.grant-lab.org/).We regret that only shortlisted candidates will be notified.Hiring Institution: NTU
