A Research Fellow (Project Leader) position is currently available at the Centre for Disruptive Photonic Technologies (CDPT) in the School of Physical & Mathematical Sciences, Nanyang Technological University (NTU).
The Research Fellow (Project Leader) will be required to substantially advance a research programme aiming at developing advanced super-resolution optical imaging techniques with molecular level resolution that are based on combining recent advances in nanophotonics and artificial intelligence. CDPT is looking for a highly motivated candidate with keen interest in optics, precision measurements and applied mathematics. The Research Fellow is expected to work, generate ideas and experimentally prove them both independently and within team-working efforts with other researchers working on the project.
Job Responsibilities
Generate a substantial body of novel experimental, theoretical and numerical work in super-resolution optical imaging using a combination of nanophotonics and artificial intelligence, as defined by CDPT's NRF research programme. This may also require working with visiting researchers, students and travelling internationally to conduct collaborative work. (30%)
Contribute running and maintaining the research laboratories at CDPT (20%)
Manage the interactions with local and international collaborators of the project (15%)
Participate in joint research with other CDTP partners and cooperating parties and to support CDPT projects requiring fabrication, assembling and testing of the devices (10%).
Contribute into preparation of progress reports, as well as attendance at regular project meetings (and participation in organizing such meetings) and research conferences. (7.5%)
Contribute to the organisation and day-to-day smooth running of the CDTP, to assist in the supervision of PhD students. (7.5%)
Prepare publications for leading scientific journals and at international conferences. (5%)
Support the development of future grant proposals, and the development and protection of intellectual property. (5%)
