Join Our Team at the School of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Nanyang Technological University, SingaporeThe School of Physical and Mathematical Sciences (SPMS) at NTU Singapore hosts research and education activities in two divisions: Division of Mathematical Sciences (MAS) and Division of Physics and Applied Physics (PAP). MAS covers diverse topics ranging from pure mathematics to the applications of mathematics in cryptography, computing, business, and finance. PAP covers many areas of fundamental and applied physics, including quantum information, condensed matter physics, biophysics, and photonics. Over the years, SPMS has attracted talented individuals from around the world and Singapore to join as scientific leaders and researchers.We are looking for a Research Fellow to be in charge of an experimental apparatus aiming to develop a quantum processor based on Neutral Atom Arrays. The role will focus on developing the experiment, take and analyze data, supervise undergrad and PhD students.Key Responsibilities:Develop a cold atom apparatus using state-of-the-art technologiesDevelop the necessary interface to drive a quantum processorReport on at least on a weekly basis on the progress to the principal investigatorSupervise PhD and undergrad studentsJob Requirements:PhD degree in experimental physics either in quantum physics or in opticsAt least 1 years of relevant experiences in similar roleFamiliarity with laser systems, vacuum, atomic physics, photonicsThe School of Physical and Mathematical Sciences seeks a diverse and inclusive workforce and is committed to equality of opportunity.
