Job Title: Research Fellow, School of Computing

We are seeking a highly motivated and capable Research Fellow to join our team at the Department of Computer Science, School of Computing, National University of Singapore. The successful candidate will work on cutting-edge research projects in the field of Embodied AI, contributing to the development of innovative technologies and solutions with real-world impact
The candidate will be responsible for conducting independent and collaborative research, publishing in top-tier venues, and supporting the supervision of junior researchers and students. The role offers a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic, interdisciplinary environment with access to state-of-the-art facilities and resources.
Qualifications
- Ph.D. degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, Robotics, Artificial Intelligence, or a closely related field.
- Strong research background, with a track record of publications in top-tier conferences or journals (e.g., ICRA, RSS, NeurIPS, CVPR, IJRR, RA-L, etc.).
- Proficiency in programming (e.g., Python, C++, MATLAB) and experience with relevant frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow, ROS, OpenCV)
Familiarity with one or more of the following areas:
- Robotic manipulation and control
- Reinforcement learning and imitation learning
- Computer vision or 3D perception
- Simulation and digital twins
- Foundation models and multimodal learning
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and in a collaborative research environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to document research findings and contribute to publications and proposals.
- [Optional:] Experience in supervising or mentoring junior researchers or students is a plus.
