Job Description

Job Scope / Responsibilities:

Supervise and monitor geotechnical works at the construction site to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and relevant codes of practice. Inspect and record site activities related to geotechnical works such as:

Soil improvement


Deep excavation


Earth retaining systems


Ground anchors and instrumentation


Piling and foundation works
Review and verify method statements, work procedures, and test reports submitted by contractors. Monitor ground movement and geotechnical instrumentation readings, ensuring timely reporting and escalation of abnormal readings or unsafe conditions. Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and relevant stakeholders to resolve site issues promptly. Ensure implementation of safe work procedures and adherence to workplace safety and health requirements. Maintain proper documentation of site records, inspection reports, and daily progress. Assist in resolving technical issues and provide feedback to the Engineer/QP(Supervision) when deviations are observed. Attend site meetings, inspections, and audits as required.

Requirements:

Diploma in Civil / Geotechnical Engineering or equivalent, recognized by BCA/IES/ACES for RTO registration. Registered RTO with BCA. Minimum 3 years of relevant site supervision experience in geotechnical works. Familiar with local codes, regulations, and LTA/URA/BCA requirements. Good communication, coordination, and documentation skills. * Able to work independently and as part of a team.
