JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for the analysis of revenue, profit, and demand associated with the hotel\xe2\x80\x99s rooms and function space inventory. Assists with the preparation of forecasts (budgets and projections) and analyse the progress to budget, projections, and forecasts. Develops and/or utilizes analytical tools and systems toward the goal of maximizing total hotel revenue and profit. Responsible for critiques of sales strategy effectiveness, prepare analysis of revenue and profit opportunity (historical and future). Responsible for managing room\xe2\x80\x99s and function space inventory; ensuring that the inventory is allocated and restricted properly in order to maximize total hotel revenues and profits. Assists with the distribution of rates, packages, and that hotel sales strategy information are built in the hotel\xe2\x80\x99s inventory systems

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Analyzing and Reporting Revenue Management Data:- * Compiles information, analyses and monitors actual sales against projected sales. Extracts and analyses data in order to draw viable/actionable business conclusions.

  • Identifies the underlying principles, reasons, or facts of information by breaking down information or data into separate parts.
  • Generates and provides accurate and timely results in the form of reports, presentations, etc. Submits reports in a timely manner, ensuring delivery deadlines.
  • Analyses information, identifying current and potential problems and proposes solutions.
  • Provides revenue analysis functional expertise to Hotel strategy team.
  • Prepares revenue and profit opportunity analysis across all Hotel revenue streams.
  • Assists with managing all revenue, profit and demand data associated with rooms and function space.
  • Observes, receives, and otherwise obtains information from all relevant sources.
  • Understands and accurately represents individual property needs.
  • Provides recommendations to improve effectiveness of revenue analysis processes.
  • Manage room authorizations, rates and restrictions (e.g., group ceiling maintenance, forecast book maintenance, etc.)
  • Manage function space authorizations, restrictions, and rental
  • Utilize Marriott\xe2\x80\x99s revenue management systems and tools to ensure that revenue and profit are maximized
  • Serve as an inventory and restriction expert to person performing the business evaluation and revenue analysis functions.
  • Ensure that the hotel\xe2\x80\x99s sales strategies are effectively implemented in the inventory systems.
  • Updates market knowledge and aligns strategies and approaches accordingly
  • Provides revenue management functional expertise to general manager, leadership teams and market sales leaders
  • Prepares sales strategy meeting agenda, supporting documentation
  • Building Successful Relationships:-
- Develops constructive and cooperative working relationships with others, and maintaining them over time.
- Develops and manages internal key stakeholder relationships.
- Acts as a liaison, when necessary, between property and regional/corporate systems support
- Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
  • At least a Diploma in Hotel Management
  • Minimum 3 years of management experience in Revenue Analyst/ Inventory Management capacity level
  • Strong analytical skills; mathematical skills; presentation skills; communication skills (timely, concise up-dates to strategy, etc.); deductive reasoning; organizational skills.
  • Strong knowledge in spreadsheet software, data-base management, analytical tools, Marriott\xe2\x80\x99s revenue management systems and inventory management systems
  • Knowledgeable in operations research principles and concepts
  • Great pricing analysis skills
  • Spreadsheet and data analysis skills
  • Strong ability to extract and analyze data in order to draw viable/actionable business conclusions
  • Strong knowledge of revenue management concepts, tactics, and processes
  • Great follow-up skills
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Experience with reservation systems
  • Detail oriented on assigned tasks and the ability to follow through to a conclusion
  • Understands brand strategies and culture
  • Able to start work within short notice period
