The Opportunity

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Risk & Compliance at JC&C, you will deliver risk management and compliance support and services to Group businesses as well as to direct and oversee all local regulatory compliance and risk management activities. While based in Singapore, the role has a Southeast Asia coverage that provides a regional exposure to the candidate and may require some level of travelling (subject to any existing travelling restrictions in the near term).

Responsibilities

• Facilitate risk assessment with Divisions / Departments within the Group to identify and assess potential risks, establish the risk register, review and develop appropriate risk mitigation actions
• Support and ensure alignment of local operational risk management polices with the group risk management strategy, and ensure operational risks are managed according to this overall group strategy.
• Support the development, enhancement and implementation of Enterprise Risk Management and the Control Self-Assessment (“CSA”) frameworks.
• Review processes and recommend improvements, across head office functions and branch operations. Implement a core control framework across the automotive businesses.
• Support the implementation of risk dashboards and audit surveillance (with digital tools) on DMI businesses
• Conduct regular Gap Analysis on new and updated controls and/or best practices in the industry.
• Conduct regular Gap Analysis on insurance coverage and/or identify new products in the market for the automotive industry.
• Support risk reporting/monitoring/evaluation and to a limited extent, the other JC&C investments.
• Coordinate and drive ethics and compliance initiatives.
• Conduct investigations on whistleblowing, allegations of fraud, misconduct and ethics cases
• Support Group Audit and Risk Management as Business Partners (alignment of industry knowledge and risk factors)
• Coordinate the application of Business Continuity and Crisis Management Plans across the automotive businesses and perform annual review of the BC Plans
• Support the Cybersecurity team in ensuring an effective program against Cybersecurity risk
• Undertake ad-hoc and special assignments/projects as and when delegated by the Head of Department

Requirements

• A good degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Management or Risk Management is fundamental
• At least 3 years of relevant working experience, with at least 1 year of risk management functional leadership track record preferred
• Extensive, demonstrable working knowledge of regulatory and legal requirements
• Conceptual skills including qualitative and quantitative methods for risk management with an understanding of ERM and CSA frameworks.
• Comfortable working in a dynamic environment, demonstrates cultural sensitivity and armed with good social and communication skills
• Process-oriented and problem-solving attitude as well as strong organizational skills and hands-on mentality
• High level of energy and resilience; independent, resourceful and creative, and able to operate with integrity
