Job Description

Our client, a leading financial services company is looking to hire a Senior Risk Manager. As part of the second line risk team, the incumbent will monitor, escalate and track risks.

Responsibilities:

• Support the delivery of the Group's Enterprise Risk Management Framework within the region and across corporate functions, for all risk types.
• Interact with key stakeholders and functional managers on all Risk topics and best practices
• Support the Group's risk governance structure within the region, including production of Risk Committee report
• Support the execution of the regional Risk Assurance Plan (including control assurance, thematic and deep-dive reviews) within the region and corporate functions
• Ongoing monitoring of region's risk profile against risk appetite through monitoring of performance against Risk Appetite Thresholds and related KRIs (including review of required escalations and tracking of risk response actions)
• Monitor the implantation of the Risk Management Standards within the region and corporate functions (controls framework and metric monitoring/escalation/ reporting)
• Assist in the preparation and execution of any regular risk reports (targeted risk assessments)
• Monitor the quality of internal risk events submitted; propose mitigating measures when relevant and follow-up on action plans
• Participate in the delivery of the Group's stress testing and the Risk Self Assessment (RSA) programs within the region, including coordination of scenario workshops
• Assessment of the effectiveness of controls defined by the control owners in mitigating the control gaps identified
• Support the credit risk assessment of counterparties as part of the client onboarding process
• Monitor the daily credit exposures and product exposures of the client, including timely escalations on areas of concern
• Assist with coordination and preparation of ongoing risk training and business engagement within the region and Corporate Functions
• Support the operation of the GRC platform within the region and Corporate Functions
• Fulfil any additional duties as required to meet the needs of the Risk Team/Functions we support

Requirements:

• Education: Bachelors or Equivalent required
• Operational Risk experience is highly sought after for this. Preferably, the candidate has familiarity with the credit risk monitoring and management processes.
• Experience: 7+ Years in Risk Management experience with a financial institution or equivalent.
• Experience producing executive level presentations/comms
• Experience with SQL/Python programming preferred
