What the role is:Drug abuse is a worsening global problem that harms millions of people. It destroys individuals, destabilises families and disrupts the workforce. We are looking for someone who is passionate about keeping Singapore drug-free and who enjoys working with our key stakeholders, partners and volunteer advocates to bring out our collaborative vision of a Drug-Free Singapore. The officer will be part of the CNB Communications Division team to conceptualise and implement key community partnership and volunteer management and engagement strategies, and be a key touchpoint and enabler for community partners to develop and run ground-up initiatives that create in members of the public the mindset to support and advocate for DrugFreeSG.What you will be working on:The scope of work of the Team includes: Working with key stakeholders like the National Council Against Drug Abuse to plan and implement initiatives to develop community support and encourage involvement for the anti-drug cause, particularly in relation to upstream preventive drug efforts. Overseeing workstreams in relation to Communications & Publicity, Research and Partnership Development. The job holder is required to be conversant in basic market research and analysis, PR communication strategy, as well as stakeholder management. Principally, the job holder will work closely with partners who identify with, support and promote the anti-drug cause through collaborative initiatives or public relations activities. Administering the DrugFreeSG Fund grant to support ground-up, not-for-profit initiatives which contribute to the vision of a drug-free Singapore with projects that raise awareness of the harms of drugs and preventive drug education for various key target audience segments, develop capabilities and build resilience in individuals and communities to be drug-free. Assisting with the multi-faceted day to day functions of the Division which would include secretariat support at meetings.What we are looking for:Job Requirements: Highly committed and full of initiative. Creative with good communication and project management skills. Strong interpersonal skills to work with different stakeholders and partners, many of whom are C-Suite/Management level individuals Basic market research to oversee a commissioned research study Some experience in marketing, event organising, public affairs or corporate communications would be a strong asset. Able to multi-task and work well under tight deadlines.
