Job Description

The Safety Coordinator is responsible for planning, implementing and overseeing company\'s employee safety at work and ensure that the company is in compliance and adheres to Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) guidelines to reduce work-related injuries.

Job Responsibilities:

• Conduct daily WSH inspection to ensure total compliance to MOM regulations and recommend preventive measures.
• Conduct daily toolbox with the subcontractors.
• Ensure all workers at plants are wearing appropriate PPE at all times.
• Ensure proper housekeeping by the subcontractors on daily basis.
• Following up on all outstanding safety related issues.
• Conduct weekly safety talk / briefing.
• Conduct regular safety checks to ensure all site activities are carried out in accordance with safety requirements.
• Accountable for investigation, analyzing and determining the cause of accidents or negligence, if any, during work process.
• Make recommendations on work processes improvement and means of preventing a recurrence
• Participate in WSH compliance inspections.
• Conduct safety inductions and orientations.
• Handling risk assessments to gather information on safety issues
• Coordination with relevant site in-charge on improving the worksite safety and cleanliness.
• Compiles all relevant reports and records.
• Other Ad-hoc duties assigned from time to time.

Period:

• Permanent

Working Hours:

• Mon to Fri 9am to 6pm

Salary:

• Up to $3500 + allowance

Location:

• Aljunied

Requirements:

• Minimum ITE/ Diploma or equivalent.
• Min 2 Years of Experience.
• Possess a Certificate in Safety Coordinators Course from approved institutes.
• Relevant experience in Building and Construction Industry, preferred M&E.
• Professional certification in Workplace Safety and Health or equivalent preferred
• Able to start work in short notice.
• Good team player, self-motivated, good interpersonal skills and good problem-solving skills.
• Good knowledge in ISO and OSHA safety standards.
