Job Description

Job Functions:

• Provide technical and professional safety assistance to the site construction management

• Assist in maintaining safety & health of staff in accordance with WSH Act and WSH legislative requirements

• Administer and compile all environmental, safety & health records according to the company\xe2\x80\x99s accreditation such as ISO & BizSafe requirements, file accordingly based on Safety Management System in place and prepare for safety audits.

• Brief Project Manager regularly on the execution status of the overall EHS program; assist Project Manager to advise staff on safety matters and compliance

• Be involved in regular Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) meetings, including toolbox meetings; update and review changes to standards and processes where required

• Investigate accidents/incidents at work (e.g. first aid case, near miss) to identify Workplace Safety and Health hazards, and implement control measures to avoid future occurrence

• Plan and conduct regular safety inspections, and promptly correct any unsafe condition or practice

• Ability to liaise with the authorities on environmental, safety & health matters

• Lead safety site walk with relevant safety personnel to inspect safety lapses, unsafe actions and put up report for follow-up actions
  

• Minimum education qualifications: Higher Nitec & Diploma in any relevant field

• Minimum years of experience: 3 year\xe2\x80\x99s work experience in construction field

• Professional qualifications: Advance Certificate in Workplace Safety & Health, Risk Management Level 2 OR Certification for Specialist Workplace Safety and Health (BCA) and other related qualifications: Works-at-Heights Assessor and Confine Space Assessor will be an added advantage

• Possess knowledge and expertise on industrial safety standards, occupational safety, and emergency management

• Strong communication and organizational skills

• Proficient in facility monitoring and implementation of OSHA employee safety guidelines and in report writing, understanding and interpreting of WSH (Construction) Regulations
