Our esteemed client, an established MNC, is searching for a Safety Coordinator: Job Responsibilities:
Assist the Project team in maintaining a safe and healthy work environment in compliance with the Safety Management System and WSH regulations.
Ensure strict compliance with the site Permit-to-Work system; stop and report any incompatible or unsafe works to the Safety Officer or Site Management.
Serve as the secretary for the Project WSH Committee; communicate safety activities, required actions, and updates to staff and subcontractors.
Conduct periodic site safety inspections to monitor compliance and recommend corrective measures.
Assist the Safety Officer in enforcing statutory safety requirements, internal rules, and ISO/OHSAS standards.
Support the Safety Officer in investigating accidents, incidents, or dangerous occurrences, and propose preventive measures.
Coordinate with MOM, NEA, PUB, and other authorities on safety, environmental, and regulatory matters.
Facilitate safety training, campaigns, and promotional activities to enhance safety awareness among workers.
Maintain safety documentation, records, and reports to ensure readiness for audits and inspections.
Participate in risk assessments, safety planning, and development of Management Programmes.
Monitor site environmental health programs, including vector control, infectious disease prevention, and site hygiene.
Support worker management including course coordination, reporting sick leave, home leave, and accommodation.
Ensure compliance with safety standards required by the site developer and oversee safety aspects in public areas of the site.
Collaborate with project teams to integrate safety practices into construction planning and operations.
Job Requirements:
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in construction safety coordination or similar role.
Knowledge of Singapore WSH legislation, safety regulations, ISO 9000, ISO 14001, and OHSAS 18001.
Strong understanding of Permit-to-Work systems, risk assessment, and safety audit procedures.
Ability to conduct safety inspections, incident investigations, and prepare comprehensive reports.
Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills to liaise with internal teams, subcontractors, and authorities.
Proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of enforcing safety compliance on site.
Ability to plan, organize, and conduct safety trainings and awareness programs.
Competent in maintaining safety documentation and coordinating with regulatory authorities.
Familiarity with environmental health, mosquito/vector control, and public safety management on construction sites.
Additional Information:
Salary: Up to SGD 4,700 +AWS +VB (1-2 Months)
Working Location: City Hall
Working Hours: 5 Days Work, 9am - 6pm
