Job Description

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the company and field level implementation of health, safety and environmental policies, procedures and guidelines including review, updates and recommendations.
• Ensure workplace/site is fully comply of the relevant and latest Workplace Safety, Health Act (WSHA) and Environmental regulations and proper documentation of all safety records not limiting to certificates, notices and correspondences.
• Account for investigating, analyzing and determining cause of any incident, accident or dangerous occurrence during work process and recommends means of preventing recurrence
• Organize safety meeting and safety briefing and toolbox meeting at site/office including safety training.
• Prepare and review all Risk Assessment together with project management team.
• Conduct regular site inspections and follow up actions to ensure safety compliance.
• Report incidents and accidents to management and maintain of project accident statistics.
• Handle all safety issues and routines at site including company level.
• Liaises with Consultants and enforcement agencies on WSH issues.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• Minimum 2 years of working experience in safety coordination in construction industry.
• Preferably with trade competency certificates i.e. BCSS Certificate, Safety Coordinator Certificate, Risk Assessment Certificate, Working at Height Rescuer Certificate, etc. from approved institutes
• Good in communication, work cocus and proactive with excellent interpersonal skills and analytical ability.
• Initiative with good sense of responsibility, independent with minimum supervision, committed and driven to learn.
• Physically fit as the position requires the successful candidate to be onsite at times.
• Good working knowledge of OHSAS & ISO.
