Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform the duties of a Workplace Safety and Health Officer in accordance with the Workplace Safety and Health Act.

• Work with stakeholders to ensure compliance with all relevant WSH legal requirements, codes of practices, and Singapore Standards. This will also include communicating with external and internal stakeholders on up-to-date changes in WSH legislation and other requirements.

• Maintain an effective Safety Management System for the organization.

• Conduct workplace inspections to ensure compliance with WSH Act and COVID-19 legislation.

• Lead incident investigations to identify root causes and appropriate corrective actions.

• Establish and maintain a positive safety culture in the workplace.

• Perform risk assessments and recommend appropriate control measures to stakeholders.

• Conduct WSH training and champion WSH promotional activities.

• Maintains WSH documented information for the organization.

• Secretariat of safety committees/subcommittees.

• MOM registered WSHO with at least 5 years of relevant experience in Workplace Safety and Health.

• Degree in Safety, Health, and Environmental Management.

• At least 5 years of relevant working experience in the construction industry (Preferably in CAG, LTA, PUB, projects, and Tunnel Boring Machine (TBM) Safety in Underground Construction.

• At least 2 years experience in CAG, Airport Operational and Safety requirements for Changi Airport, Such as (Runway, taxiways, taxi lanes, and roads)

• Sound knowledge of QEHS Internal Auditor - ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015 & ISO 45001:2018.

• Self-driven and team player.

• Good communication and presentation skills including the ability to speak, present, and write clearly and effectively.

• Good interpersonal skills including the ability to develop cooperative work relationships with peers and superiors.

• Proficiency in relevant WSH legislations, Singapore Standards, Codes of Practices, and guidelines.
