Performing requires compliance audits, inspections or safety walk-downs with contractor safety coordinators and follow up including corrective actions from contractors . Ensuring that the worksite maintains good housekeeping, contractors are using appropriate personal protective equipment . Assisting in arranging safety meetings, trainings and maintain daily log of activities or tasks . Supporting incident investigation for dangerous occurrence or occupational disease that occurred within the workplace . Reviewing the risk assessment and risk management of activities at workplace by providing timely input to reduce the risk or hazards. . Improving contractor recognition of at-risk behaviors . Conducting emergency drills and gas detectors training with contractor safety coordinators to raise safety awareness and ensure the correct behavior is fostered . Supporting line management to implement Evonik's ESH programs to contractors . Working closely with EMSEA ESH Department to create safety and health awareness among contractors. 2. Implementation of applicable Singapore WSH regulations and EMSEA rules compliance matter related to occupational safety, health & security and ensure compliance by . Maintaining current safety & health process implementation & evaluation as per Singapore WSH standards . Assisting the ESHQ & Training Manager with implementation of safety plans, training plans, safety meetings, audits & inspections, investigations and other contractor related tasks in the plant . Identifying and assessing any foreseeable risk arising from the workplace or work processes, providing timely input in the risk analysis and by providing measures to minimize/eliminate them . Assisting/ coordinating Industrial Hygiene monitoring in plants . Ensuring the compliance to work permits (i.e. confined space, hot work, etc.) . Keeping occupational injury & illness rates to a benchmark level and strive to reduce it further . Improving employee/ contractor perception, participation and commitment in the safety and health process . Performing required compliance audits/inspections, daily plant safety and ensure security patrolling of the site . Ensuring external security agency to carry out their duty as instructed by reviewing security related documents e.g. operating procedures, initiatives and rules. . Working closely with security supervisor to coordinate security operations or activities related to public law enforcement, SCDF and other related agencies. 3. Other ad hoc duties as assigned.
