Job Description

What the role is:As a Safety Officer / Senior Safety Officer with Water Supply Plants (WSP) Department, you will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure WSP sites comply to the Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) Act and subsidiary regulations.What you will be working on:Your main roles and responsibilities would include: \xe2\x80\xa2 Conduct daily health, safety and environmental inspections, prepare report and follow up with stakeholders until closure. \xe2\x80\xa2 Recommend reasonably practicable measures to eliminate or minimise any foreseeable risk in the workplace. \xe2\x80\xa2 Review safe work procedures, safety plans and risk assessment. \xe2\x80\xa2 Provide support and advice to staff and workers on any WSH matters. \xe2\x80\xa2 Plan, implement, conduct and facilitate health and safety audits at PUB workplaces including construction sites. \xe2\x80\xa2 Conduct investigation of all WSH incidents and recommend corrective measures. \xe2\x80\xa2 Coordinate, monitor, track and implement the safety recommendations by PUB Safety Committees. \xe2\x80\xa2 Monitor, track and analyse department\'s safety performances and to recommend safety measures where necessary. \xe2\x80\xa2 Provide secretariat support to PUB Safety Committees at safety meetings. \xe2\x80\xa2 Prepare and submit reports timely to relevant personnel. \xe2\x80\xa2 Implement and execute WSH campaigns and other promotional activities to promote safety awareness and commitment in employees and contractors. \xe2\x80\xa2 In-depth knowledge of HSE regulations and standards. \xe2\x80\xa2 Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels. The successful candidate will be based in Choa Chu Kang Waterworks.What we are looking for:

• Degree in Occupational Health and Safety \xe2\x80\xa2 Valid registration as WSHO with MOM and Fire Safety Manager with SCDF \xe2\x80\xa2 Certified Work-At-Height (WAH) Assessor and Confined Space Assessor. \xe2\x80\xa2 At least 3 years of working experience as a Workplace Safety and Health Officer \xe2\x80\xa2 Independent, result oriented and self-driven team player with good communication skills \xe2\x80\xa2 Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
