This role will provide an exceptional service to all customers, maximising sales opportunities by demonstrating excellent product and range knowledge through exhibiting the company DNA values, while helping minimise risk and costs by contributing to effective stock management and observance of store operation standard processes. The ideal candidate would be passionate about toy business with the heart to serve, and looking to be part of our pioneer team in growing our new Toy business. JOB ROLE Duties & Responsibilities CUSTOMER SERVICE & SALES PERFORMANCE . Provide an exceptional standard of customer care in accordance to company's DNA values . Acknowledge and greet each customer in accordance to the company's thrust on Customercentric Initiative . Listen attentively to fulfill all customer requirements and expectations . Interact with customers, giving them product presentations and convincing them to make purchases . Maintain a thorough knowledge of all product areas and to demonstrate the skill of linking features to benefits . Know the store sales targets and sales information on a daily and weekly basis . Strategizing to meet assigned sales targets in the given period of time . Identify and promote best selling lines . Be aware of competitor activity and to communicate this to the team . Evaluate market trends and keep track of new products and prices in the market . Deal with occasional customer feedback and reaction and handle any query or situation diplomatically and efficiently, keeping immediate superior informed . Process customer payments and balancing cash register COST CONTROL . Show vigilance at all times in order to help prevent stock loss . Know the policy with regard to apprehension of shoplifters, and be able to act upon it . Demonstrate the necessary working practices of Loss Prevention with regard to all cash and administration procedures STORE PRESENTATION . Demonstrate merchandising skills in order to ensure correct replenishment . Maintain and update knowledge of special promotions and putting up displays in adherence to current display standards . Maximise sales by demonstrating commercial and creative flair for visual merchandising . Ensure correct use of equipment . Ensure correct use of promotional material . Assist in the maintenance of high standards of cleanliness throughout the store . Make regular checks on the standard of in store Customer facilities and react effectively . Take ownership of all potential hazards within the store regarding staff and customers both on and off the sales floor . Keep track of the stock and inventory in the store and placing orders for replenishing the stock in coordination with your immediate superior TEAM ORIENTATION . Communicate effectively with staff, management and customers . Create a positive impression on the telephone in accordance to the company's thrust on Customercentric Initiative . Be an effective and participative member . Take ownership for self development through use of company training resources . Complete all the assigned tasks given by your superiors within reasonable agreed time . Report discrepancies and issues to the supervisor and recommend solutions GENERAL . Carry out any other duties as requested by the store management team to ensure successful performance of the store . Fluent in both spoken and basic written English . Experience in a retail environment is desirable . Minimum 2 years experience in frontline customer services an added advantage . Ability to work varied hours/days, including weekends, and holidays, as needed . Basic computer knowledge
