. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying project opportunities, leading the tendering process, and securing contracts for electrical systems engineering within construction and infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage
the full
bid and tender process
for electrical engineering projects, from opportunity identification to contract award.
Analyze tender documents, drawings, and technical specifications
to prepare competitive proposals in collaboration with the team.
Conduct
pre-bid meetings, site visits
, and
technical presentations
as required.
Develop and implement effective sales strategies aimed at driving growth in the related business segment of electrical and mechanical solutions, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.
Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including potential partnerships and projects within the electrical and mechanical domain, particularly focusing on infrastructure projects and other potential developments.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies, such as LTA/PUB, contractors, system integrators, and other industry partners to facilitate project acquisition and collaboration.
Conduct thorough market research and analysis to stay updated on industry trends, competitive landscape, and customer needs, ensuring that strategies are data-driven and market-informed.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, marketing, and customer support, to provide tailored solutions that meet client requirements
Prepare and present compelling proposals and sales presentations to potential clients, highlighting the unique benefits of our solutions in the context of their specific needs.
Monitor and report on key sales performance metrics, providing regular insights and recommendations to senior management to support strategic decision-making.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Business Administration or a related field.
Minimum of 8 years of experience in sales or business development, experience in the electrical & mechanical engineering industry
Knowledge of
local tender processes
(e.g., public sector bidding).
Proven track record in meeting sales targets
Basic understanding on local code of practice and safety standards, especially for industrial Projects
Experience to deal with Chinese-based construction companies is highly preferred.
* Proficiency in Mandarin is an advantage (to liaise with Mandarin-speaking clients and stakeholders).
