As a Sales Manager - Metals, you will be responsible for sales of systems & service products within a designated market in accordance with strategy. Reporting to the Regional Sales Manager, you are expect to build long term customer relationships and managing resolution to customer needs and issues as well as identifying and developing sales opportunities.

Your responsibilities

  • Responsible for driving opportunities, internal and external reviews on opportunities, decks preparation, representation from sales standpoint
  • Managing relationships with key decision makers in customer organization & internal organization
  • Establishing and owning the plans and strategies aimed at serving the installed base and expanding the customer base in Metals Segment area
  • Deeply analyzing customer’s specifications and proposing technical solution in coordination with technology suppliers or OEMs
  • Leading bidding activities efficiently starting from customer requirement analysis, RFQ generation to the project handover.
  • Handling conceptual design, sizing, optimization, and cost estimation of Electrical, Drives, Automation & Software Services
  • Creating a strong market presence by emphasizing on value proposition, latest product & solution offerings from ABB for Metals segment

Your background

  • Degree in Engineering (Electrical / Electronics)
  • Around 10 years of relevant experience in Front-End Sales and /or in Tendering / Engineering / Project Management in Process Industries (Pulp & Paper, Cement, Metals, Mining) preferably Metals Industry
  • Knowledge of commercial and legal terms and project risk management
  • Able to communicate effectively (both verbal and written), customer oriented, negotiate, persuasive, possess professional attitude and good team spirit
  • Well versed in MS Office application and Salesforce.com
  • Able to demonstrate cross selling across all Systems, Solutions, Products & Service categories
  • Ability to work in Service business matrix and closely support Hub Process Industries Service Segment initiatives and deliverables
