PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES

The Artificial Intelligence Center of Excellence (AI COE) is an integral part of the Intelligent Technology and Data organization within Intelligent Enterprise Services (IES), which serves as the internal IT organization at SAP. Operating within the Technology Services \xe2\x80\x93 Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Big Data unit, our primary focus is driving the internal adoption of AI across all business processes. We achieve this by implementing standard product functionalities from the SAP AI portfolio, as well as developing custom AI solutions tailored to specific internal business cases. Specifically, we are focusing on Generative AI (GenAI) applications, integrating Large Language Models (LLM) with existing AI and data workflows. Currently, we have numerous solutions in production, actively utilized by tens of thousands of SAP employees. In Singapore, we continuously seek exceptional young talents from renowned universities to participate in our internship program, fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration.

EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS

• Minimal duration is 12 weeks for a reasonable internship experience
• Work alongside other AI Scientists, Engineers, and Product Owners etc
• Communicate with stakeholders to understand SAP business processes and challenges
• Design GenAI solutions for specific use cases, considering existing system workflow and limitations
• Experiment with different data science and prompt engineering technics and validate with end users

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

Required skills

• Able to take ownership of one\xe2\x80\x99s work and collaborate with others
• Understanding of basic Machine Learning, algorithms and data structures
• Proficiency in Python, and libraries such as Pandas, Scikit-Learn, etc
• Experience with development tools like VScode, Pycharm, Jupyter, Docker, Git, etc
• Advanced user of LLM (e.g. ChatGPT) with API access and / or prompt engineering

WORK EXPERIENCE

• Undergraduate or graduate students in STEM fields from any university
• Students with non-technical majors and self-learned data science skills are welcome to apply
