About the team

The mission of the Office of Ethics & Compliance (OEC) is to advance SAP\'s business goals by promoting a culture of integrity; helping SAP to \'Win the Right Way\' by providing the policy and process framework, expert guidance, tools and training that enable employees to reject bribery and corruption.

As a business steward for SAP, the OEC helps to ensure that SAP undertakes business with integrity, adhering to both the spirit and the letter of the law in all the markets in which the company operates. The OEC is responsible for matters relating to corruption, bribery and substantial fraud: from definition to implementation of the ethics and compliance program, and from enforcement to consequence management to ensure ongoing compliance.

The OEC also offers deal support, conducting root cause analysis for compliance concerns. OEC investigates allegations of potential or suspected non-compliance and remediates and mitigates risks, conducting consequence management where behaviour is found to be non-compliant.

What you\'ll do:

Position title: SAP OEC Intern, APJ

Location: Singapore

Expected start date: June 2023 to Dec 2023, and extendable for another 6 months.

Working Schedule: at least 3 days a week

In this role, you\'ll:

  • Be working alongside Field Compliance Officers and the Regional Compliance Officer and assisting with the continued monitoring of internal controls and processes to mitigate compliance risk, support the legal compliance aspects of managing third party relationships, assist in monitoring the changes to the legal and regulatory climate guidelines applicable to the company and the administration of the Code of Ethics and Business Conduct.
  • You will experience how ethical business in a company is driven and nurtured across Asia. You will be expected to assist in research on internal and external Compliance trends to provide insight for leadership knowledge forums, newsletters and training
  • Assist in data tracking of various compliance initiatives.
Who you are:

As a minimum, you need to be a second-year law undergraduate interested in legal and compliance life in the commercial organization and who takes initiative, perseveres, and stay curious as complex compliance challenges are tackled. You like to work on meaningful compliance monitoring projects and will not shy away from learning about learning about management of antibribery, fraud and corruption approaches in other countries in Asia Pacific and Japan.
  • Law Undergraduate in a reputable Singapore University
  • Desired skills/ experience to be successful in the role: Hands-on with extreme attention to detail, ability to do in-depth research and to interpret written guidelines and documents, proactive, dynamic and result driven individual, innovative skillset, and a great sense of humour!
