Who We Are

ST Engineering Satellite Systems Pte. Ltd. (SatSys) is a joint venture founded in 2010 by ST Engineering, DSO National Laboratories, and Nanyang Technological University. Today with our expertise and comprehensive suite of satellite engineering and test facility, SatSys design and develop satellite buses to integrate with various payloads, such as Electro-Optical (EO) camera, Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) and more, to meet the mission objectives of our customers.

What does Satellite Manufacturing team handles

The Satellite Manufacturing team plays critical role in the entire satellite design, development, and production cycle. The Satellite Manufacturing Manager works closely with a team of engineers, technicians, and operators to handle the entire manufacturing of the satellites which are designed by the Satellite Engineering Design team. The Satellite Manufacturing Team handles tasks from the assembly of RF/electronic modules and harnesses to the complete structural integration of the satellites.

While transiting from Design phase to Production phase, the Satellite Manufacturing team will work closely with various sub-system teams to establish all necessary process control measures and documentation necessary for the swift transition. The Satellite Manufacturing team must demonstrate speed, flexibility, and critical thinking when faced with challenges of delivering timely, high-quality, and reliable satellite systems to our customers.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage an effective Satellite Manufacturing Operational Structure to meet On Quality, On Time, On Cost Deliveries
  • Direct, coordinate, and overseeing all operations and processes for Satellite Manufacturing
  • Drive a Safety and Quality Culture that is aligned with company\'s Quality Management System and Workplace Safety & Hazards System
  • Responsible for proposing and implementing different production control models and manufacturing processes to meet the needs of Satellite production demand, whenever necessary
  • Responsible for managing capacity planning and utilization, planning and scheduling materials for Satellite production
  • Responsible for leading the team in a matrix reporting environment, including leadership representatives from manufacturing, production planning, purchasing (supplier-chain), forecasting, facilities, and logistics within company to meet strategic programs objectives
  • Ensure production team properly trained (via orientation, on-job-training, and certifications) to maintain and use existing Satellite Manufacturing equipment and tooling
  • Manage the process control, ensure employees follow quality procedures and WIs to align with the requirements of ISO/AS 9000 and customer\'s requirements
  • Conduct safety and 5S program every day to ensure a safe and clear workplace
Job Requirements:
  • Degree in Engineering (Electronics/ Electrical/ Mechanical/ Industrial, etc.) or equivalent
  • More than 10 years of relevant working experiences with at least 5 years in production/ manufacturing related field is required
  • Knowledge in electronics modules and systems fabrication, assembly, integration, and installation, is preferred
  • Experience in leading a team of engineers, technicians, and operators
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Quality-oriented with focus on continuous improvement
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic manufacturing environment
  • Excellent communication skills and team player
  • Singaporean only
