:
A Scaffold Erector is responsible for building, securing, maintaining, and dismantling scaffolding systems to provide safe working platforms for construction and maintenance activities. The role requires strong technical ability, physical fitness, and strict adherence to safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Erect, modify, and dismantle various types of scaffolding structures (e.g. tubular, modular, suspended, mobile).
Inspect and ensure all scaffolding materials and components are safe, undamaged, and suitable for use.
Follow design drawings, specifications, and safety regulations for scaffold erection.
Secure scaffolding to structures and ensure stability on all ground conditions.
Conduct daily inspections and report unsafe conditions immediately.
Tag scaffolds and maintain records of inspection and usage.
Coordinate with site supervisors, engineers, and safety officers.
Load, unload, and organize scaffolding materials on site.
Follow all safety policies, wear PPE, and participate in toolbox meetings.
Assist in training junior workers and maintaining team discipline at worksite.
Requirements:
Basic/Advanced Scaffolding Certificate (recognised by MOM / BCA) preferred.
Minimum 1-2 years of scaffolding experience in construction or shipyard projects.
Good understanding of scaffolding design, load capacity, and safety procedures.
Physically fit and able to work at height and in outdoor conditions.
Knowledge of risk assessment and permit-to-work systems is an advantage.

Knowledge of safety and inspection standards (SS 659, WSH regulations)
