School of Applied Science - Research Assistant (Food Biotechnology)
[What you will be working on]
Perform extraction and analysis of natural compounds
Carry out chemical and bioassays
Execute food processing and sensory evaluation
Collate, analyse and interpret research data
Assist in preparing progress reports and presentation
Assist in procurement including liaising with vendors, sourcing for materials, equipment and testing service, and raising purchase requests.
Work closely with project leader to fulfil the required deliverables of the project
[What we are looking for]
Relevant qualification in food technology/biotechnology/food science/nutrition or any other related science disciplines
Familiar with food and chemical laboratory analysis
Good interpersonal skills and a self-motivated, good team player in a teamwork environment
Proficient in IT skills
Successful candidate will be employed on a contract basis
