What the role is:Republic Polytechnic (RP) is looking for a project engineer to play a key role in delivering full stack AI/ML solutions to its industry partners. Engaging industry partners to deliver innovative and practical solutions is crucial to RP\'s mission as an educational institution and ensures its curriculum is updated and relevant.What you will be working on:As a project engineer, you will work with academic staff and RP industry partners to design, develop, and deploy AI/ML projects. You are expected to complete a complete project life cycle that starts with gathering business requirements to deployment of a prototype client application that uses AI/ML to deliver its functionality. You will:Participate in the full development life cycle of AI/ML projects, with a specialization in video and image recognitionIdentify and select AI/ML technologies to solve problems. Develop and test AI/ML models using these technologiesPerform data exploration and data analysis to understand data, and design model architectureOptimize data systems and pipeline architecture. Design, build and deploy applications to extract data from a variety of sources and to perform feature engineeringDeploy and integrate AI \xe2\x80\x8b\xe2\x80\x8bmodels into back-end servers and cloud services. Develop front-end interfaces to access AI models (mobile app and mobile web).Cooperate with other departments to effectively use internal/external big dataProduce documentation to design, develop, test, deploy, sustain, and update AI applications to ensure good governance and accountabilityWhat we are looking for:3-5 years relevant experience in Artificial Intelligence/Data Science OR Computer Science/Engineering with a specialist qualification in AI/MLExperienced in delivering AI projects for video and image recognitionFamiliar with Tensorflow, Tensorflowjs, Keras, Scikit-learn, PyTorch and other popular AI frameworksGood in programming and problem solving, familiar with Python, Javascript and Flutter and/or React NativeExperience in developing mobile web and mobile applicationsExperience in using OpenCV, Media Pipe Pose and other Pose Estimation technologiesEnjoy sharing and presenting ideasAble to work independentlyTo succeed in this role, you need to be knowledgeable, independent, and flexible.
