What the role is:Republic Polytechnic (RP) is looking for a project engineer to play a key role in delivering full stack AI/ML solutions to its industry partners. Engaging industry partners to deliver innovative and practical solutions is crucial to RP\'s mission as an educational institution and ensures its curriculum is updated and relevant.This is an excellent opportunity for a full-stack developer to work with RP staff experienced in AI/ML to create AI/ML solutions that deliver critical business functions.What you will be working on:As a project engineer, you will work with academic staff and RP industry partners to design, develop, deploy and maintain AI/ML projects. You are expected to complete a complete project life cycle that starts with gathering business requirements, development of an AL/ML software library suite, and culminating in the deployment of prototype client applications that uses this AI/ML library to deliver its functionality.Participate in the full development life cycle of AI/ML projects, with a specialization in video and image recognitionDesign, develop, deploy and maintain robust, scalable AI/ML APIsDesign, develop, deploy and maintain mobile and web applications that access AI/ML APIsPerform data exploration and data analysis to understand data, and design model architectureOptimize data systems and pipeline architecture. Design, build and deploy applications to extract data from a variety of sources and to perform feature engineeringDeploy and integrate AI \xe2\x80\x8b\xe2\x80\x8bmodels into back-end servers and cloud services for API accessIdentify and select AI/ML technologies to solve problems. Develop and test AI/ML models using these technologiesCooperate with other departments to effectively use internal/external big dataProduce documentation to design, develop, test, deploy, sustain, and update AI/ML applications to ensure good governance and accountability\xe2\x80\x8bWhat we are looking for:Graduate in Computer Science/Engineering preferably with a specialist qualification in AI/ML OR Graduate in Artificial Intelligence/Data Science3-5 years relevant experience as a full stack developer or similar roleProficient in developing mobile web and mobile applications using multiple front-end languages (e.g., HTML/ CSS, JavaScript, XML, jQuery) and frameworks (e.g., React, Angular)Proficient in developing APIs and back-end services using back-end languages (e.g., Python, Java) and frameworks (e.g., Node.js, Flask)Proficient in storage and access of structured and non-structured data using SQL and non-SQL datastores (e.g., MySQL, MongoDB, Snowflake)Experience with deployment of application and services to cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure)Experience in using OpenCV, Ultralytics, Media Pipe Pose, and other Pose Estimation technologiesFamiliar with Tensorflow, Tensorflowjs, Keras, Scikit-learn, PyTorch and other popular AI frameworksEnjoy sharing and presenting ideasAble to work independentlyTo succeed in this role, you need to be knowledgeable, independent, and flexible.
