Job Description
What the role is:Technical Executive at Adventure Learning Centre, School of Sports, Health and Leisure (1-year contract)What you will be working on:a) ALC Operations
- Provide first aid, logistical, equipment and height, water and expeditionary safety support as required during programmes in accordance to Training Safety Policy (TSP) and other safety policies and procedures;
- Support and assist in ALC activities;
- Prompt follow-up on incident management, height rescue system and evacuation as necessary during or after the programme;
- Provide on-the-job training/support to new team members;
- Implement and manage the incident response system, height rescue system and evacuation procedure of the facility/Centre;
- Evaluate and select appropriate alternatives to contribute to the efficient and effective administration and resource management processes that support ALC operations;
- May be required to work for the entire duration of overnight camps or programmes;
- Relevant qualifications in Outdoor and Adventure Learning disciplines OR
- Other qualifications with at least 1 year of work experience
- Familiar and capable to operate outdoor and adventure learning equipment and instrument
- Applicants must have basic IT knowledge
- Ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels
- Willingness to work in a flexible manner is essential
