Job Description
What the role is:
Provide support in workflow improvement projects, research and development. This will involve in literature review, experimental design and planning, validation, instrumental and data analysis with a strong component in statistical analysis, report writing and presentation as well as implementation and troubleshooting.
Key responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Perform literature review and design experimental plan
- Conduct workflow improvement, research and validation
- Perform data analysis using statistical software e.g. python, R, SPSS
- Develop and apply statistical and machine learning algorithms to biological data
- Write programming codes to automate laboratory processes
- Create dashboard for data visualization e.g. Tableau
- Report writing and presentation of research outcome
- Implementation and troubleshooting of workflow improvement and research outcome
- Background in Biology
- Experienced in programming (e.g VBA, python, R, SQL)
- Experienced in statistical software (e.g R Studio, SPSS, SAS) in life sciences setting
- Good understanding of statistical method (e.g Bayes\' Theorem, Likelihood Ratios and Probability)
- Background in data visualization software (e.g Tableau)
- Meticulous and strong critical thinking skills
- Collaborative team player and able to work independently
