Skin Health Research and Development Scientist

What will you do

The research and development scientist is responsible for new product design and commercial innovation for skin health brand with a strong consumer-centric mindset. This role will lead end-to-end innovation on Derma skin care brand- Dr. Ci: Labo\xc2\xae.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead product design and formula development. Identify active ingredients and technologies to deliver target concept, cost, efficacy and meet project timeline.
• Develop the process for new formulations from lab to pilot/trial scale up. Coordinate with manufacturing site for process transfer to commercialization.
• Lead claim development, consumer qualification and product demonstration. Partner with cross functions to conduct tests and assess product safety, sensory aesthetic and efficacy. Translate scientific insights into communication and demonstration.
• Work closely and collaborate with Japan R&D, marketing, supply chain, technology platform and other stakeholders to deliver key milestones for new product and commercial innovations.
• Provide market Support for commercial activities, i.e. new product launch campaign, PR activation, customer event etc.
• Conduct market &consumer insight analysis and build in-depth understanding.

Qualifications

What we are looking for

Required Qualifications

• A minimum of BS degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or related science is required with 3-5 years above of industry experience. Master\'s degree with relevant 1-3 years above of industry experience is preferred.
• Strong expertise and experience in skin health formulation and process development.
• Ability to acquire, analyze, interpret and organize data and document research.
• Ability to independently manage trouble shooting and complex technical projects.
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functions in a team environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills at internal and external meetings, conferences are required. Evidenced with presentations & publications are preferred.
• Good business acumen and interest in consumer skin health business.
