Job Description

As part of the Technology Project & Platform Delivery team, we are looking for a Scrum Master role with Cloud related delivery experience to act as a servant leader for designated Agile teams.

You'll be in charge of coaching and leading Agile teams in delivering high value products tapping on your Cloud related domain expertise.

Your ability to coach and mentor teams towards strong understanding of Agile values, principles and practices are critical. You will be working with teams with the goal of leading them to become self-organising and high performing, with the ability to deliver consistent, high quality solutions in a sustainable pace. The position will require you to facilitate Agile ceremonies, support Product Owners to manage the backlog, and coordinate your teams' sprint deliverables. In this role, you are expected to help your teams remove blockers that impede their work progress.

You will be working with Technology and Business stakeholders and is expected to provide updates as and when required.

Work with team to ensure deliverables are of consistently high quality

Become an advocate for continuous improvement throughout the organisations

Working first-hand to coach the team to become self-organising, high performance delivery teams.

Help teams to remove blockers/impediments

Facilitate productive Scrum events including Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Backlog Refinement, Sprint Reviews and Retrospectives

Develop creative ideas to support the team in keeping the scrum events positive and energised.

Ability to investigate, challenge and proactively suggest improvements to the ways of working.

Work hand in hand to support and challenge Product Owners to maximise value for the team supporting the delivery of the Product Backlog and Product Roadmap.

Assist Product Owners to minimise Sprint interruptions so as to protect the team, and enable them to focus on the Sprint goals and commitments

Foster a safe and trusting team environment whereby issues can be raised without fear of blame or retribution

Willingness to work across teams and collaborate with other Scrum Masters as and when required

Work with the Agile community to improve and support the scaling of Agility within the bank

Serves as the point of contact for external teams, management, and other stakeholders

Help build a productive environment where team members take ownership of their work and enjoy working together as a cohesive unit

Qualifications

Requirements

Bachelor's degree or equivalent

Hands-on experience as a Scrum Master role

Deep knowledge and understanding of Agile values and principles

Strong team coach and mentor

Strong team player in the wider Agile community

Effective listener and communicator

Strong interpersonal skills

Experienced and strong ability in managing stakeholder expectations

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Ability to influence without formal authority

Proactive, creative individual who is willing and able to challenge the status quo when needed

Self-starter with excellent servant leadership and team building skills

Ability to resolve complex problems creatively (out of the box thinking)

Preferred Experience

Past working experience in the financial industry will be a strong advantage

Scrum Master certification from established Agile institution(such as Scrum Alliance, Scrum.Org, etc)

Practical working experience in systems development & integration environments (mixed technology) is preferable * Knowledge of Cloud architecture patterns, with some experience in managing container platforms, application services, cloud technologies e.g. VMWare, AWS, Azure, GCP, Terraform, Ansible, Chef, Puppet, Apache Kafka, Redis, and OpenShift/Kubernetes

• Demonstrate good knowledge in technology infrastructure domain such as virtual server technologies, networking, internet protocols, scripting & monitoring tools.
• A bonus if you have certifications in VMWare, AWS, Azure and GCP.
