The Scrum Master will be responsible for the facilitating scrum practices in the planning and execution of projects. This position will work closely with product management, development team, and various departments to ensure successful delivery of projects. As a Scrum Master, you will rotate through multiple scrum development teams over time, acting as their Scrum Master both to enable the team's successful delivery of services but also to grow the agile skills and mindset of the team members.
Job Responsibilities
Guiding the team and organization on how to use Agile/Scrum practices and values.
Guiding the team on how to get the most out of self-organization.
Assessing the Scrum Maturity of the team and organization and coaching the team to higher levels of maturity
Coordinating with Product Owners of their various teams ensuring product backlogs are in good shape and facilitate scrum ceremonies within each sprint.
Identifying risks, use well-known techniques for risk reporting and resolution.
Removing impediments or guiding the team to remove impediments by finding the right personnel to remove the impediment.
Build a safe and trusting environment where conflicts can be managed in a healthy way without fear of blame
Facilitating discussion, decision making, and conflict resolution.
Assisting with internal and external communication, improving transparency, and radiating information.
Supporting and educating the Product Owner, especially on grooming and maintaining the product backlog.
Providing all support to the team using a servant leadership style whenever possible, and leading by example.
Requirements
Experience is playing the Scrum Master role for at least 3 years for a software development team that was diligently applying Scrum principles, practices, and theory.
Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), Certified Scrum Professional (CSP) or Certified Product Owner (CSPO)
Minimum Bachelor in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Management, or related field.
Good skills and knowledge of servant leadership, facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution, continual improvement, empowerment, and increasing transparency.
Knowledge of various well-documented patterns and techniques for filling in the intentional gaps left in the Scrum approach
Knowledge of other Agile approaches: XP, Kanban, Crystal, FDD, etc.
Awareness and experience with widely successful Agile techniques: User Stories, ATDD, TDD, Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, Pairing, — Automated Testing, Agile Games.
Good to have applicable knowledge of the technologies used by the team.
Expertise in Jira and Confluence for running daily projects related activities and documentation is an added advantage.
The experience in applying a wide variety of well-documented patterns and techniques for filling in the intentional gaps left in the Scrum approach
Excellent communication and mentoring skills.
