About the Unit

Yara is the world\'s largest producer of ammonia, nitrates and NPKs, offering solutions for sustainable agriculture respecting the environment. Our fertilizers and our crop nutrition programs were designed to help the sector of food production and to meet the needs of a growing world population. Our products and solutions help industry reduce emissions, improve air quality and prioritize effective operations safely.

Yara Africa & Asia (YAA) produces, sells, distributes and markets fertilizers and industrial products across Asia Pacific and Africa regions, with offices location and operational units in 20 countries. The region employs over 1800 employees and has a long history in the Asian Pacific and African markets, focusing on develop crop nutrition concepts that increase food production and create value to the growers, in particular smallholder farmers, whilst minimizing environmental impact of agricultural activities.

YAA is currently undergoing a major transformation, aimed at shifting the existing business models, generating new revenue streams and ultimately delivering profit through new Farming Solutions related activities.

Responsibilities

  • Work within product/services teams alongside product owner, a cross functioning team to create engaging, user-centric solutions, applications and/or services that solve the needs of the smallholder farming communities around the world (farmers, offtakers, retailers, dealers, markets, and all other stakeholders within a farming community).
  • Lead adoption of agile values and principles - support agile framework including sprint ceremonies (stand-ups, demos, retrospectives), road-mapping and release planning, backlog management (definition, grooming, prioritization), sizing and story estimation for the team.
  • Assessing the Scrum maturity of the team and coaching the team to higher levels of maturity, in a continuous and sustainable manner.
  • Providing support to the team with a servant leadership style and leading by example.
  • Support cross-teams communications and lead way of working improvements.
Profile
  • Prior working experience as a Scrum Master in a scrum (preferred) or agile team.
  • Good skills and knowledge of servant leadership, facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution, continual improvement, empowerment, and increasing transparency.
  • Experience in coaching teams and supporting Product Owner in backlog refinement.
  • Experience in working with distributed teams and scrums of scrums or scaled agile structure will be preferred.
  • Experience in running/organising workshops and training sessions is a plus.
  • Experience running communities of practices and collaboration across teams is a plus.
  • Agile certifications in CSM, CSP, PSM, PPO or PMI-ACP will be a plus.
