About the Unit

Yara is the world\'s largest producer of ammonia, nitrates and NPKs, offering solutions for sustainable agriculture respecting the environment. Our fertilizers and our crop nutrition programs were designed to help the sector of food production and to meet the needs of a growing world population. Our products and solutions help industry reduce emissions, improve air quality and prioritize effective operations safely.

Yara Africa & Asia (YAA) produces, sells, distributes and markets fertilizers and industrial products across Asia Pacific and Africa regions, with offices location and operational units in 20 countries. The region employs over 1800 employees and has a long history in the Asian Pacific and African markets, focusing on develop crop nutrition concepts that increase food production and create value to the growers, in particular smallholder farmers, whilst minimizing environmental impact of agricultural activities.

YAA is currently undergoing a major transformation, aimed at shifting the existing business models, generating new revenue streams and ultimately delivering profit through new Farming Solutions related activities.

Responsibilities

  • Working first-hand to coach the team to become self-organizing, high performance delivery teams.
  • Help teams to remove blockers/impediments
  • Facilitate productive Scrum events including Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Backlog Refinement, Sprint Reviews and Retrospectives
  • Develop creative ideas to support the team in keeping the scrum events positive and energized.
  • Ability to investigate, challenge and proactively suggest improvements to the ways of working.
  • Work hand in hand to support and challenge Product Owners to maximize value for the team supporting the delivery of the Product Backlog and Product Roadmap.
  • Assist Product Owners to minimize Sprint interruptions so as to protect the team, and enable them to focus on the Sprint goals and commitments
  • Foster a safe and trusting team environment whereby issues can be raised without fear of blame or retribution
  • Collaborate with other Scrum masters as and when required to work across teams.
  • Work with Agile discipline to improve and support the scaling of Agile WoW in team.
  • Serves as the point of contact for external teams, management, and other stakeholders
  • Help build a productive environment where team members take ownership of their work and enjoy working together as a cohesive unit
Profile
  • Bachelor\'s degree or equivalent
  • CSM (or) PSM 1 and SAFe SSM are required.
  • Agile certifications such as ACSM, PSM 2, SASM will be a plus.
Additional Information

  • Hands-on experience as a Scrum Master role
  • Deep knowledge and understanding of Agile values and principles.
  • Facilitate productive Scrum events including Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Backlog Refinement, Sprint Reviews and Retrospectives
