About this role The primary focus of the Security Consultant (Security Technology) is to provide specialist electronic security engineering and consultancy services for the design of integrated electronic security systems such as video surveillance, electronic access control, intrusion detection etc., employing world's best-practice solutions in bringing commercially focussed security solutions to our clients' business activities. The role operates primarily within the Singapore marketplace and will contribute to the other services provided by Arup's Resilience, Security & Risk (RSR) practice within the Australasia Region. What will I do Provide the electronic and protective security design process and the approach to formulate security requirements for the design of an integrated electronic security systems (with components such as video surveillance, electronic access control, intrusion detection etc.). Understand security concepts and assist other security specialists to turn the concepts into design. Have knowledge of IT networks that support the integrated electronic security systems to prepare and deliver design documentation, such as drawings, schedules, technical specifications etc. Review submissions (such as drawings, materials) and installation details from contractors/integrators during construction/implementation stage ensure they are in accordance with design intent and/or specifications Assist with the development of an efficient and commercially viable Resilience, Security and Risk practice in our Singapore office. Work collaboratively with the Resilience, Security & Risk team leader, other members of the team, and other Arup teams globally in the delivery of successful projects/assignments. What will I bring Degree in electrical or electronic engineering or technical trade qualification of similar areas. At least 2 years of industry experience in protective electronic security engineering within a consultancy business environment or design experience with a security systems contractor/integrator. Understanding of latest electronic security technologies. Membership of relevant professional institutions/professional peer bodies or significant credit towards eligibility for membership. Ideally with adequate security clearance for Singapore projects.
