As a Segment Sales Manager for Process Automation business, you will be responsible for co-developing with the sales support team to drive strategic account management & planning methodology, identifying opportunities for early engagement with customers and drive & promote ABB\xe2\x80\x99s key value differentiators. Reporting to Hub Asia Solution Sales Manager, you will be possessing leadership qualities to motivate, advise, train & mentor your sales team and ensure a highly effective team of sales managers towards developing a succession framework. This position is either based in Singapore or Subang Jaya, Malaysia.

Your responsibilities

  • Owning the overall segment budget. Creating, implementing, and reviewing sales support strategy ensuring high say-do and high hit-rate \xe2\x80\x93 deliver on plan. Responsible for driving Hub & LD solution sales strategy in collaboration with sales support team
  • Defining key targets and ensuring these are achieved for the customer support. Responsible for all Account Manager\xe2\x80\x99s budget commitments to deliver
  • Collaborating with the relevant sales support functions and hub marketing leadership to develop a branding & positioning strategy on ABB\xe2\x80\x99s capabilities as a preferred Integrated solutions provider for Electrification, Controls/Automation, Telecommunications and Digitalization (ECTD)
  • Establishing all key accounts within the country with macro & micro-outlook, opportunities, IB, investment & business plans, stakeholder matrix, C-suite engagement, etc
  • Assigning and allocating resources to develop sales growth activities, collaborating with the sales support function in building business intelligence for each country within the energy segment, account management planning & strategy and sales enablement
  • Collaborating with the sales support function to develop training plan for Account Managers
  • Should be possessing a balance between strategic and tactical qualities, ability to practice what you preach & lead by example
  • Having the aptitude in analytics & process-driven, maintaining a high level of SFDC data hygiene, collating market outlook data and having the capabilities to analyze & generate an action plan out of the data collected working closely with the sales support team
Your background
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in engineering or another relevant course
  • More than 10 years of sales experience in energy industry area
  • Experience in Asia Pacific customer base; power & water, oil & gas, and/or chemical & refinery industries
  • Excellent communications and negotiation skills, fluent in English
  • People leadership experience, ability to mentor sales team
  • A strong focus on safe work practices and dedication to following all relevant workplace safety guidelines
  • International, cross-BU and cross-division experience
  • Results driven, a passionate manager and good motivator
