About the Role

As a Senior Business Development Manager, you play a critical role in creating new business opportunities for Telstra through delivering creative and market defining sales solutions for your client portfolio. You are hyper aware of current and emerging market trends and what they mean for your client\xe2\x80\x99s business. Your ability to infuse Telstra\xe2\x80\x99s products and services into tailored, new solutions that anticipate the needs of our client\xe2\x80\x99s sees you contribute to the growth of Telstra\xe2\x80\x99s business and to forge strong relationships within the market.

Key Responsibilities

As a Senior Business Development Manager, you apply your extensive expertise in ICT&S solution sales, exceptional relationship building and people leadership skills to deliver against the following responsibilities:

  • Directly shape the team\xe2\x80\x99s priorities (e.g. opportunity development activities) and define the development of strong account plans designed to exceed growth targets, ensuring strong team coverage across all accounts in order to deliver sales and revenue growth across the portfolio.
  • Take personal accountability and strong ownership for generating and nurturing a short- and long-term opportunity pipeline with strong sales and revenue conversion rates, ensuring accurate forecasting of sales, gross margin and revenue targets.
  • Empower and support team members to execute against key metrics (NPS, strategic and incremental sales, revenue) by coaching and developing a highly skilled and energised sales force, through actively sharing lessons learned and global best practices in customer\xe2\x80\x99s industries.
  • Apply deep technical and professional expertise in ICT&S solutions, synthesising latest market research and technology trends into key insights that articulate business implications for both team members and client stakeholders.
  • Authentically engage with and effectively influence a complex, diverse, multi-stakeholder landscape comprising senior customer relationships (including C-Suite & Board level, and sophisticated functional specialists) to proactively build strong relationships, deeply understand business direction and provide strategic technology thought leadership leading to sales opportunities.
  • Significantly contribute to the development of solution proposals for strategic value customers, championing the framework for co-creation of strategic technology plans by proactively engaging with Telstra\xe2\x80\x99s business and partner ecosystem (including vendors) in order to deliver innovative solutions and concepts to the market.
  • Sought out by others for impressive technical expertise in ICT&S solution sales to provide guidance and direction to problem solve, act as a strategic advisor and technology leader, generate innovative solution concepts and assist in the development of all accounts to ensure they achieve their growth targets.
  • Recognised as a thought leader in the market (IT & customer industries), actively promoting Telstra\xe2\x80\x99s capability and co-creation with customers through authoring whitepapers, thought leadership articles, presenting at industry events and promoting discussions on social media in order to drive Telstra\xe2\x80\x99s technology agenda and attract business growth.
About You

We are looking for two (2) Senior Business Development Managers with the following skills and expertise:

Position 1:
  • Responsible for driving Security pipeline across South Asia
  • Acting as trusted consultant for customers embarking on their Security transformation journey
  • Preferably a Service integrator background with strong experience in managing South Asia market.
  • Customer focused with relevant experience in supporting customer\xe2\x80\x99s end-to-end security transformation requirements.
Position 2:
  • Understanding of key security product vendors and solutions
  • Preferably existing engagement with Security product principles
  • Ability to leverage person professional network and partners to drive the business across South Asia
