Accounting Operations

Oversee all accounting operations across Singapore and Malaysia entities, ensuring accurate books, reconciliations, and timely month-end close. Maintain detailed reconciliation of

loan portfolios and funding balances

, ensuring proper recognition of interest income, funding costs, and provisions. Monitor and report on intercompany transactions, loan servicing, and capital provider funding lines. Review journal entries and ensure alignment of accounting treatment with the nature of lending and payment transactions. Oversee and coordinate the work of outsourced vendors for payroll, bookkeeping, and compliance.

Financial Control & Reporting

Prepare consolidated monthly and quarterly management accounts across all entities. Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, including

GST

(Singapore and Malaysia), corporate tax, and regulatory filings. Lead annual statutory audits and liaise with auditors, corporate secretaries, and tax advisors. Maintain strong internal controls and accounting policies suited for a fintech lending business. Support debt covenant reporting, including preparation of compliance certificates and related documentation.

Credit Provisioning & Balance Sheet Integrity

Drive and maintain a

robust debt-provisioning policy

, ensuring loan loss reserves reflect realistic portfolio risk and balance sheet health. Work with the CFO to review and improve provisioning models and accounting estimates based on lending data.

Business Partnering & Structuring

Work closely with the CFO and CEO to optimize legal entity structures, funding flows, and tax efficiency across Singapore and Malaysia. Provide financial insights and operational support for new product launches or funding partnerships. Support treasury management, liquidity forecasting, and intercompany cash optimization.

Leadership

Manage and mentor a small finance team across markets. Build a culture of accuracy, accountability, and continuous improvement.
