Job Description

Edelman is the world\'s largest public relations agency, and our Singapore office has an opening for a Senior Accountant/Accountant to bring their financial skills and thinking to our dynamic team.

This is a 6-months maternity cover to start work as soon as possible. The successful candidate must have full working rights in Singapore, excellent communication skills, and a love of working in a fast-moving, creative, dynamic workplace. This role reports to the Finance Director and works closely with their designated Client Partners. \

Responsibilities:

• Provide sound financial counsel to the Client Partners and Finance Director.
• Ad hoc duties, when required.

Manage Client Finances

• Perform client finance operations, from the initial credit assessment of the new client to the completion of the Client Staffing Budgeting Tool and contribution margin assessment.
• Support assessment on client project revenue recognition based on agreed project delivery milestones for month-end closing to ensure revenue recognition in accordance with accounting policy.
• Assist in monitoring and reviewing of client contributions and over-servicing and work with the business team to identify and address issues on specific projects and clients.
• Support client revenue forecast and alignment with Sales Pipeline Tool Data (Pipeline).
• Provide commercial support on business pitches i.e completion of RFPs, RFQs etc.
• Review client contracts to ensure the contractual terms are aligned with standard practice.
• Handle billings and upload of invoices to client\'s portal based on agreed milestones in the contract or as and when required. Follow up for receipts, when necessary.

Financial management

• Provide accurate financial information for month end closing.
• Support for monthly P&L analysis and review.
• Work with Finance Manager/Finance Director to ensure accurate month-end closing.
• Support on providing estimates on revenue projection for clients in charge.
• Support on the preparation of tax package

Qualifications:

• Degree in Accounting/Finance with 4+ years\' experience in accounting/financial management in a service industry.
• Public relations/marketing communications industry experience is preferred.
• Candidates are client service oriented and possess strong financial analysis, management and communication skills, a team player attitude and possess a strong work ethic.
• Advanced knowledge of Excel is required.
