Basic FunctionsThe Senior Accounting Analyst assists the Finance Manager - KPS Southeast Asia, in managing Regional and Singapore Financial Statements, General Ledger, Fixed Assets, Intercompany Accounts, Balance Sheet Reconciliations, External and Internal Audit, Management Reporting and all accounting matters for KPS Southeast Asia and Legal Reporting for Kohler Singapore Pte Ltd.Responsible for financial reporting, treasury matters and assist the departments in monitoring indirect expenses and develop, maintain and enhance financial controls to safeguard the assets of the Company.Contributes to KPS Southeast Asia Finance in achieving quality reporting (Financial and Management). Under general direction, to assist the Finance Manager in providing Management and key personnel with timely, accurate and relevant information for improved decision making and preparing strategic and financial plans, including enhancing local reporting and analysis to improve productivity and quality of reporting and analysis.Specific Responsibilities Prepare month end closing activities; process journal entries in SAP and review the team journal entries. Ensure timely preparation of monthly financial reports which comply with IFRS and tax requirements as well as the reporting requirements of the Head office. Prepare management reports such as variance analysis/bridges, forecasts, budgets and other reports. Budget Capex preparation; assist requestor on preparing Capex request; maintain Fixed Assets schedule. Review Withholding tax filing and GST returns filing. Preparation and liaise with Auditors and Tax Agents for annual audit and tax returns which includes preparing of Financial Statements, schedules and checking of computation for tax return etc. Support internal audit and renewing MES. Lead in a continuous improvement effort to review SAP system and process re-engineering to meet management expectations. Solve accounting issues from time to time and providing guidance to the team. Advising management on matters relating to finance operation, accounting system, accounting treatment and reporting when necessary. Other adhoc tasks as assigned.Qualifications / Requirements Accounting Degree or equivalent preferred. Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in manufacturing industry. Tax and GST knowledge and experience will be an added advantage. Analytical with good thinking and excel skills. Must be a good team player with good communication and problem-solving skills. Ability to review process and implement changes for continuous improvements. Experience in data management, including use of business intelligence reporting and finance systems. Knowledge of SAP is a must. Outstanding organizational skill and good interpersonal skill. Details-oriented, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Ability to work under pressure, self-manage and proactive.
