The Credit and Risk Management Department oversees several functions, namely AML / CFT Compliance, Credit Risk Management, Factoring Audit and Special Asset Management. We manage the risks arising from the Firm’s commercial lending business, with general oversight provided by our Board of Directors. Our Department has purview over the following functions:
  • identifying and evaluating client onboarding and continuance risks;
  • providing independent assessment of client and debtor credit risks;
  • conducting periodic factoring audits; and
  • managing the restructure, work-out and recovery of non-performing loans.

The Successful Candidate The successful candidate possesses a proven track record of 3-4 years’ relevant experience in meeting KYC/CDD obligations in a bank / FI, non-bank FI, Fintech set-up from on-boarding stage and throughout the customer life-cycle. Added understanding and experience in credit risk management would be a plus. Pre-requisite qualities includes a strong team player who develops positive relationships with others, has genuine commitment (does more than asked), is reliable and possesses effective communication skills. The individual should minimally be a diploma or degree holder from a recognised institution in business, accounting, finance or relevant disciplines.

Job Responsibilities and Requirements

Responsibilities
  • Conduct KYC / CDD checks and review KYC / CDD checks done on clients, loan introducers and counter-parties
  • Prepare suspicious transactions reports prior to submission to MLRO for review
  • Provide AML advisory and/or training to business units
  • Assist to prepare AML/CFT periodic reports to Senior Management
  • Maintain listing of low, medium and high-risk clients
  • Assist to clear hits found during ongoing monitoring
  • Proficient in the use of RDC screening software (uploading names and clearing hits)
  • Assist to update policies and procedures relating to AML related matters
  • Other duties/tasks as assigned by the Head of Risk

Job Requirements
  • Team player with good interpersonal and communication skills
  • 3-4 years of experience within the banking & finance industry in AML/CFT compliance space. Experience may be in the in-business compliance unit or at group compliance level.
  • Investigative mind-set and capable of assessing risks and interpreting their implications on the organisation
  • Recognised accreditations in AML/CFT will be advantageous
  • Able to multi-task and work under tight deadlines
