Backed by our strong Product and Engineering teams in Seoul, Singapore, and Mountain View - Coupang Play has been creating and optimizing the viewing experience for our customers.Coupang Play is available on mobile devices, tablet PCs, smart TVs, and your preferred browsers. We are building a competitive content library that includes TV for children and all ages, movies, live sports, educational content, and more. We are committed to redefining how our customers enjoy digital entertainment as one of the fastest-growing OTT services in Korea.Role OverviewAndroid Engineers play a key role in the Coupang Play product organization. From contributing to product development on the Android Platform to understanding our customer experience, this role is central for the development of our Android app.What You Will Do

• Support entire application lifecycle (concept, design, develop, test, release)
• Work with third party development vendors and partners
• Perform code reviews and adhere to best coding practices
• Develop technical documentation

Basic Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience on Android related products
• Hands-on programming in Android mobile app development
• Experienced in both Kotlin and Java
• Experienced in architecture pattern like MVVM, MVP
• Experienced in Jetpack libraries (Room, Paging, Lifecycle, LiveData, Databinding, ViewModel, AppCompat, Fragment etc)
• Experienced in asynchronous programming (Coroutine, RxJava)
• Developed at least 2 apps, with at least 1 available in Google Play Store

Preferred Qualifications

• Experienced in customizing Exoplayer and maintaining middleware interfacing with Exoplayer
• Experienced in MPEG-DASH, Widevine DRM, offline playback, Chromecast SDK
• Experienced in tests with JUnit, Robolectric, MockK, Espresso
• Experienced in OTT apps and Android TV
