What the role is:
You will drive the development, application and integration of data analytics into the regulatory processes and policies in the Health Regulation Group. This includes strategic use of data to support and improve regulatory decision-making (e.g. risk management, policy development), enhance compliance, regulatory effectiveness and efficiency, and identify emerging risks in the regulation of health services and data. You will be working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment that would require the ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders at the same time.
What you will be working on:
You will develop analytics roadmaps and KPIs in partnership with leadership, ensuring alignment with regulatory objectives and national priorities. Your work includes leading policy and operational teams to identify areas benefiting from analytics, deploying tools like core dashboards for decision-making, and overseeing risk-based licensing and supervisory models. You will leverage predictive analytics to enable proactive regulatory actions, create performance metrics to track process effectiveness, and set strategic direction for data governance covering architecture, quality and ethical use. Additionally, you will build a data-driven culture through training and leadership, develop and mentor a team of regulatory analysts, and establish partnerships to leverage external analytics capabilities.
