Job Description


Business Function:

Group Strategic Marketing & Communications is responsible for building, protecting, and enhancing the DBS brand in an increasingly commoditised banking industry. Working closely with all units within the DBS Group, we create and execute integrated strategies that focus on communications especially digital communications, marketing, and research to differentiate - and elevate - our brand from the rest of the competition.

Job Purpose:
To enhance DBS corporate reputation and differentiate the bank through:

  • Spearheading efforts to pitch for and win top quality awards and accolades (e.g., ?Best Bank in the World/Asia/Singapore?, ?Best Digital Bank?, ?Best Bank for ESG? etc)
  • Amplifying wins through earned, owned and paid media
  • Support development and project management of the DBS Annual Report
Responsibilities:
  • Enhance DBS reputation through strategically positioning the bank positively, so as to enable us to consistently win more marquee awards and accolades, in Singapore, regionally and globally
  • Proactively identify and prepare submissions for bank-wide and unit-specific awards with relevant top-tier publications
  • Strategise and execute post-win amplification efforts of key award wins
  • Maintain DBS? awards database and related awards assets
  • Provide support on yearly development of the DBS Annual Report and subsequent Annual General Meeting, covering project management, information consolidation and event support
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders (Senior Management/BUs/SUs/regional markets) to develop written submissions and pitch materials, ensuring that we are on top of the regional/global awards calendar, and facilitating regular interactions with global and regional trade publications to ensure they understand our business and value proposition.
  • Extend support to senior management in communication around award engagements (pitch meetings, award winner interviews), while also providing auxiliary support for business and support units in their own award engagements.
  • Work with relevant internal teams to conceptualise and support/execute relevant strategic marketing campaigns internally and externally. These include:
  • Print and online media
  • Social media such as Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn
  • Owned media platforms
  • Paid media campaigns
  • Together with the team, maintain all processes and databases associated with the portfolio
  • Work with the project team to produce the DBS Annual Report, overseeing agency and senior stakeholder engagements, consolidation of required information, and development of related collaterals. This will also extend to event support for the Annual General Meeting, covering media management and on-site logistics support.together with the team, maintain all processes and databases associated with the portfolio
Requirements:
  • Bachelor\'s Degree from a recognised university with preferably with 3 - 5 years of experience in a corporate communications or strategic marketing role
  • Strong writer with a keen interest in integrated marketing campaigns
  • Strong sense of ownership of results
  • Attention to detail and an excellent communicator
  • Digital PR experience
  • Ability to build strong relationships with media and internal clients
  • Demonstrable ability to solve problems through persistent innovation and lateral thinking
