The business is seeking a Senior Associate - Process to work within its Chemicals & Fuels practice in the APAC region. The successful candidate will be a key member of the team providing strategic consulting services to the oil refining, petrochemicals, chemicals and financial sectors.
Reporting to the Principal Consultant, the highly experienced candidate will demonstrate competence in oil refining, petrochemicals and chemicals activities including configuration and process know-how, planning, capital investment and due diligence.
The role provides opportunities to tailor bespoke services to suit a diverse set of client, working to deliver services, participating in business development and to be a key member of the practice with significant exposure to a global client base.
Responsibilities:

  • Support configuration studies for major greenfield/brownfield refinery/petrochemical/chemical investments
  • Providing consulting services to clients during all phases of an engagement, including benchmarking, gap analysis solution identification, justification, prioritization, ranking, implementation and close out
  • Support and lead marketing and business development activities and sell consulting engagement of various sizes
  • Meet and present to clients and assist with the selling process
  • Lead, manage and implement solutions and performance improvements within client organizations whilst controlling quality, cost and client satisfaction
  • Prepare and deliver conference papers for delivery at international events
  • Support the growth of the business


Experience & Qualifications:
  • Extensive experience in Simulation, LP Modelling and model building on multiple platforms for the Refining and Chemicals businesses covering both planning and project evaluations. Exposure to Hydrogen technology with carbon capture as an added skill along with Carbon Capture technology assessment for the downstream industry.
  • Min. 15 years refining & chemicals experience having worked in both a production facility and consulting.
  • Bachelor Degree of Engineering (Chemical) or its equivalent
  • Able to work within a "sell-do" model
  • Study Management and strong self-starter and motivated to succeed
  • Practical consulting experience - including scoping, selling and delivery
  • Refining & Petrochemicals strategies, practices and methodologies
  • Excellent communication skills including ability to produce concise reports and presentations appropriate for all levels
  • Confidence to work at all levels of a client organization
  • Desire to expand role and be adaptable to client\'s needs
  • Leads the preparation of proposals, execution plans and budgets
  • Identify new opportunities and leads
  • Supports a continuous improvement culture and identifies gaps, develops work processes, tools and methodologies to drive productivity and growth
  • Exposure to HSE activities through experience in industry
  • As required to delivery projects globally
  • Excellent skills required since the position requires working with the global refining & chemicals team
  • Experience delivering technical training to client teams
