Job Purpose

As a Data Science Analyst for Consumer Banking Operations, you will help to design and build scalable analytics solutions through data pipelines, and visualize datasets that empower consumer banking business with actionable analytics in our most strategic transformation. In this complex role, you are expected to be able to perform in multiple roles seamlessly as required viz. Business Analyst, Solution Designer, Developer and Data Scientist.

Responsibilities

• Gather, document user requirements, perform exploratory data analysis to understand customer struggles in the journey and create actionable insights through journey analytics
• Access and integrate data from multiple sources
• Create analytical deep-dives using advanced statistical methods to understand the primary drivers behind customer struggles
• Derive business relevant insights within a horizontal organization (working with multiple stakeholders)/Able to understand and solve the business problem by translating into a data model and building insights into an actionable outcome
• Design, develop, test and deploy end to end analytics solutions and models (both data pipeline and visualization)
• As for visualizations, be able to design user friendly and data efficient outputs in various forms (from operational reports to dashboards aimed at non-analytics users and senior management)
• Support full lifecycle of experimentation (A/B testing) through journey analytics and machine learning driven insights/Analyze experiment results and identify opportunities for improving experiment uplift; propose new experiment iterations based on the insights from the data
• Work with cross-functional teams and able to execute well in a fast-paced and agile environment
• Be a self-starter and must exhibit full sense of ownership of the platform you work on

Requirements

• Bachelor\'s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information System, Statistics, Engineering, Data Science or related disciplines
• Minimum 4/6 years of relevant work experience in a similar role
• Excellent hands-on experience in

• Python, Pyspark, Spark, SQL/mysql (including query optimization)
• Hadoop eco-system (Hive, HDFS, Pig etc.) and relational databases
• End to end data science workflow, starting from data extraction, wrangling, modelling and deployment in production environment
• Software development, exposure to full development life cycle from requirements gathering to production support
• Experience creating real time and rich data visualizations that involves large datasets
• Experience manipulating structured and unstructured data sources for analysis
• A good understanding of machine learning, NLP concepts
• Excellent problem solving skills, able to work independently with minimal guidance in a cross-functional context/Able to pick up new methods and techniques quickly and apply towards solving a problem at hand

• Detail-oriented with strong organizational, analytical and communication skills, team player
